Join us for our ACU/YOGA Winter Workshop!
Saturday, January 12, 2019 10:00am-12:00pm
The Original Acupuncture and Yoga fusion workshop in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
If you've ever done acupuncture or yoga, you know how marvelously they can transform your life. Why not combine these two ancient and very powerful health systems, in a fun, informative, and social way, for double the effect on body, mind and spirit?
Join Elisabeth Sawich of Bend the Bridge and Kristen Happe, L.Ac. DOM, as they lead you through this unique workshop.
The ACU/YOGA seasonal series is designed to be informative, interactive and relaxing. During this workshop we'll discuss how winter affects our body, as seen in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We'll then explore this connection further through yoga, acupuncture and meditation.
During the first hour, Elisabeth will lead you through a series of yoga postures designed to promote health and healing in the kidney and bladder system. Please bring your yoga mat for this portion.
The second hour, Kristen Happe, L.Ac, will use a series of acupuncture points on the arms, legs, hands and feet, to further address it, as she teaches you about these systems from a TCM perspective. We'll go over seasonal eating for winter, then, we’ll end with a guided meditation to address the emotional component of the season. Q&A session to follow.
The acupuncture will be on the front portion of your body. You will be lying on zero gravity chairs, face up, for your acupuncture treatment. Please wear yoga/exercise clothes that we can roll up to your elbows and knees.
