THE ORIGINAL ACUPUNCTURE AND YOGA FUSION WORKSHOP, IN THE GREATER PITTSBURGH AREA!
If you've ever done acupuncture or yoga, you know how marvelously they can transform your life. Why not combine these two ancient and very powerful health systems, in a fun, informative, and social way, for double the effect on body, mind and spirit?
Join Lesli Kotloski, of Health Thru Yoga and Kristen Happe, L.Ac. of The Grape Seed, as they lead you through this unique workshop.
The ACU/YOGA seasonal series is designed to be informative, interactive and relaxing. During this workshop we'll discuss how late summer affects our body, as seen in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We'll then explore this connection further through yoga, acupuncture and meditation.
During the first hour, Lesli will discuss the ayurvedic principles associated with late summer and lead you through an Iyengar style series of yoga postures, designed to promote health and healing in the spleen and stomach system.
The second hour, Kristen Happe, L.Ac, will use a series of acupuncture points on the arms, legs, hands and feet, to further address it, as she teaches you about these systems from a TCM perspective. We'll end with a Q&A session.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING:
Please bring your yoga mat and water bottle. Wear yoga/exercise clothing that we can roll up to your elbows and knees. The acupuncture will be on the front of the body. You will be laying on your back. Blankets and props will be available at the studio, to aid in your comfort through the session.
