Spring Balance.

Group Acupuncture Tune-up for the Liver and Gallbladder.

The Acu-Om seasonal series is designed to be informative, interactive and relaxing. During this workshop we'll discuss how spring affects our body, as seen in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We'll then explore this connection further through acupuncture and meditation.

Seasonal acupuncture treatment is a great way to maintain health. At each change of season, a different organ system becomes more active and it's more common for problems to arise within that system. People may notice that certain health conditions get worse when the season changes or that new problems develop at this time. It’s also possible to feel your best at a certain season.

Whether or not you’re feeling at your utmost, a tune-up for the season’s organs can help maintain balance and healing throughout the body.

TCM organ systems have the bio-medically associated functions as we know them, but they also have additional functions given to them that we will explore during this session. Each organ has a respective emotion, color, taste, sense organ, etc… associated with it, that we will go over. We’ll also address eating for the season.

A series of acupuncture points on the arms, legs, hands and feet will be used during this session. We’ll end with a guided meditation to address the emotional component of the season. Q&A session to follow as necessary.
